Checking below conditions will help us avoid reading the file into the memory. This will be very helpful when reading a large file.

After fetching the InputStream
object from FileInputStream, we convert it into
BufferedInputStream
. Calling input.read()
on FileInputStream object is expensive, since it is a system call.
The same read function when called from BufferedInputStream object will use the data from buffer.
So we are neither reading all the bytes into the memory at once or reading each character from the hard disk.

Keep reading both the files in parallel with a single loop. read()
function reads the next character in the buffer.
Here EOF is -1.
